Spreading over a distance of 1100 square kilometers, the Chilka Lake is situated on the East Coast of India in the state of Orissa. The Chilka Lake is the largest brackish water lake in Asia. Situated at a distance of two hours from the populated city of Bhubaneswar, this lagoon is also famous for the marine, briny and fresh water ecosystem.
