Orissa is a state of India, located on the east coast of India, by the Bay of Bengal. This state is also popular because its ninth largest state by area in India, and the eleventh largest by population. The official language of the state is Oriya and most spoken and widely accepted language. The predominant feature of the state is that Orissa has Hirakud Dam, which is considered as one of the largest dam in the world. Orissa also has several well known tourist destinations too. There are the popular temples such as Jagannatha temple, which is located in the puri and another is Konark with the Sun temple is well-liked by the most of individuals.

Regarding the sub-division of the state it has 30 districts. Some of the popular districts are as following Angul, Cuttack, Gajapati, Puri, Ganjam etc. The capital of Orissa is Bhubaneswar and well known for its significant temples. Cuttack is also considered as the former capital of Orissa, which is 29 Km far from the present capital. Orissa is very expensive in the field of undamaged Natural resources.

The Simlipal National Park is one of the famous place in Orissa and also liked by the people because of there are many wild animals can be seen such as tigers, elephants, and forest with amazing waterfalls. The Climate of the state is very cool and there are lots of expensive trees found like Rosewood, Sal, Bamboo, Teak and many more. The other animals which are part of Orissa home are as mentioned Asian elephants, Barking deer, Buffaloes, Fishing cats, langurs, Gaurs, Leopards and many more.

The Industrial Growth of the state is very much developed and the natural resources are also abundant in nature. Some of the main natural resources are found in the city are as following Iron, Bauxite, Chromite, Coal etc. recently there are many steel plants are establishing. The popular power plants are established by the many industrialist and some of them are considered as the world’s largest power plants. Oriya language belongs to the Indo-Aryan stem which basically the part of the Indo-European language family and it is also considered as the Oriya language is closely similar to the bangali language.

In addition to the culture of the state is quite popular. People are well enthusiastic towards the learning the new forms of dance, music etc. The one of the famous dance Odissi generated from Orissa and the main feature of the state is regarding the Cultural art which include “Rath Yatra” which is attached to the Jagannath Temple. There are many more recognized Universities can be found. At Bhubaneswar Utkal universities is very famous. Apart from this you can visit some other tourist places.
