Children’s Day not only pays tribute to Nehru but also to the Childhood.
Basically the Children's Day is celebrated in order to celebrate the childhood. On this day the tribute is payed to the childhood of the children. And this tribute is payed all over the country. Basically the children are loved by everyone in this world. With their innocent smiles and angelic eyes they win the hearts of the people in a matter of few minutes. Number of times it also makes them realizes that maybe this is the only way our God wants us to be. India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, was born on 14th
November. He had great love for the children and he used to adore them a lot. After he died in 1963 his birthday has been celebrated as the Children’s Day all over the country India. Basically Children's Day is a very special day for kids as on this day the future age group have their say. It is also considered as a day to remember a national leader, who is silent but in very determined way, laid the strong foundation to change a nascent country into one of the world’s biggest power.

The answer to this question is that apart from being as a man of distinguished skills Nehru also had great love for the children.
